Attention Sharon HS Students and Parents:


Sharon HS is proud to announce the offering of College in the High School courses for the 2021-2022 school year! 


Sharon HS has partnered with the University of Pittsburgh in an effort to prepare our students for their future by offering college courses taught at our home school and during the regular school day.  Our goal with this program offering is to assist students in obtaining as many college credits as possible for when they graduate they are prepared to start their post secondary education with some credits under their belt.  Courses being offered are considered 3 credit courses and are priced affordably at $225 per course!  


Courses that will be offered this school year (2021-2022) are: 

  • Advanced Placement Course: Preparation for Biology
  • Advanced Placement Course: Basic Physics for Science and Engineering 1 
  • General Course: (Students in grades 9-12 are eligible): Mass Communication Process 
  • General Course: (Students in grades 9-12 are eligible): Introduction to Psychology

Students who wish to take desired courses for college credit but need financial assistance with tuition fees may contact The Career Link.  Students who are interested and need financial  assistance please contact either Jodi Cummings at 724-347-9257 xt. 121 or Kate Ratvasky at 724-347-9257 xt. 120.  Sharon High School does not accept any tuition payments as these must be paid directly to the University of Pittsburgh.  


Students will be provided more information about these courses once they return to school.  A final decision to participate in these courses must be made by October at the attention of HS Guidance Counselor, Ms. Amy Croach through email at amy_croach@sharonsd.org or by calling the M/HS Office at 724-983-4030.
