FAFSA Federal Pin Number

ATTENTION SENIORS AND SENIOR PARENTS: Now is the time to apply for the Federal Pin Number that you will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form in January. This is the only financial aid form you will most likely have to complete to receive aid from your selected schools. Log onto http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ to get that number. Both students and parents will need a pin number. In that way, they can access your information at any time. Also, you MUST notify FAFSA of any email changes. They will only contact you about reminders via email

  • Parents need ONLY one pin number for all their college bound children.
  • Pin numbers that are not used for 18 months will be deactivated.
  • Students – Please be aware of FAFSA Deadlines for your individual colleges.

Just a reminder, EVERYONE should complete a FAFSA even if you think you make too much money. If you don’t qualify for free financial aid, you are automatically put into another category where additional monies are available to you.
