Thank you so much for agreeing to take part in the Exit interview for the seniors. I’m sure you will find it a rewarding experience—a real “feel good” day. The interviews will begin at approximately 2:20 pm and should finish around 3:45. We will meet in the high school library for a “briefing” at 2:00 pm. This will also give you time to familiarize yourself with the students’ Senior Project files.
The students have been given specific instructions as to appropriate dress and manners for this important culminating component of their Senior Projects. They are not to be wearing jeans or sneakers, nor should they be chewing gum. The boys were told to wear ties, but not necessarily suits. Girls need not necessarily wear dresses or skirts; dress slacks are acceptable. No one should be in shorts.
I have advised the students to wait quietly outside the rooms until they are called for their interviews. When they enter, they should shake hands with each interviewer, and then be seated so the interview can begin. They were instructed to speak clearly and confidently, using Standard English.
A list of guiding questions is attached. Feel free to chat with the students about future plans or other topics of interest, but try to keep the interviews to 15 – 20 minutes. I have also attached an overview of the Senior Project so that you can see what is required of the students. Each interviewing team will also have the students’ Senior Project files available.
Thank you again for your interest in the students of Sharon High. Your time is most appreciated.
Mrs. Patty Carroll
