Case Avenue Elementary has been awarded the 2011 National Blue Ribbon distinction by the U.S. Department of Education. Case Avenue is one out of 305 schools across the nation to receive this academic excellence award this year. Ms. Traci Valentino, Principal, and Mrs. Shirley Dorus, Instructional Associate, recently traveled to Washington, D.C. to accept the award on behalf of the school. The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors schools that are either a school whose students are high performing on state/national assessments or a school that has improved student performance on state/national assessments.
